While it looks like Covid-19 is not planning on going away anytime soon, the travel industry has been showing the first signs of recovering. Adventure longing people are jumping at the opportunity to visit new and beloved locations to spend their many unused holidays. And yet still many miss out on the opportunity to spend their time while waiting for flight or connection at business lounges. Aviator Airport Alliance, a full-range provider of aviation services at 15 airports across the Nordics, operator of two business lounges at Copenhagen airport, shares reasons why now is the right time to try out business lounge during your travels.
“There are many undeniable advantages of using a business lounge while travelling,” says Casper Olhoff Dons, the Commercial Director of Aviator Relaxium. “And it is way easier to enjoy the benefits of an airport lounge than many think. You don’t actually need to have a business class ticket or any type of membership. Many exceptional business lounges offer lots of perks without breaking the bank.”
Enjoy some peace and quiet
There’s no denying – airports can get hectic. With hundreds of people rushing to their flights, endless loud announcements and busy commerce, it might be difficult to relax before a flight. “Airport lounges are a more calm and relaxing space than the shared waiting halls. Whether you’re on a work-related trip and want some time to yourself to gather your thoughts, or have a chunk of time before your connecting flight, you can be sure that at an airport lounge will be a place for you to sit down, relax, and wait for the time to board your flight stress-free,” says Casper Olhoff Dons.
Refresh before your adventure
Business lounges offer amenities that often make your life easier. Especially when you have to pass the time before connecting flights. “It sometimes can be hours before the connecting flight is scheduled to leave. Private lounges can become life-savers for those who want to wait and relax or to refresh themselves. It is especially convenient for those who plan to go to work or to explore the destination right after landing – no need to get to your hotel to recharge if you have a chance to do that at an airport business lounge,” shares the Commercial Director of Aviator Relaxium. “And in general, lounges are great to spend time at. Charge your electronics, have a quick read or enjoy free fast WiFi connection – anything one needs to pass the time while waiting for an adventure.”
Save on delicious meals
Airport food and drink options are often quite pricey, thus business lounges can even save you some money! “Spending even a couple of hours waiting for your flight or connection can add up – a cup of coffee here, a croissant there, a sandwich or a piece of pizza. At the end of the day such small meals can end up costing you more than the booking price for a business lounge. And the food, snacks, and drinks are complimentary there!” Casper Olhoff Dons says. “So if you have many hours to spend while awaiting your connection, check - visiting a business lounge might be the more economical option.”
Helpful staff at hand
For many, one of the best advantages of visiting a business lounge is the helpful staff that work there. Whether you would like information about your flight or need some additional information.
“There is nothing worse than having issues with your flight. Well, that won’t happen if you wait for it at a business lounge! Personnel working there is great and is ready to help you out whenever you need it.”
