In this episode, we interview, Justinas Bulka, CEO of KlasJet, a well-known exclusive private and corporate jet charter company. KlasJet acquired its first 737-500 in 2017, growing to five aircraft by 2019. Last year, the VIP charter operator expanded its operations to add narrow-body ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) to its service portfolio.

Justinas describes how KlasJet reached IOSA registration in May 2024 and how the charter operator is working to expand by adding a new aircraft while growing its team. Using the strengths of the Avia Solutions Group, the company hopes to expand to Asia and Africa with the goal of Worldwide service.

With its latest architectural project – an office building with a real jet inside – Avia Solutions Group, a leading aerospace services group, has proven that no idea is too big for this aviation giant.

The group has planned and is in the midst of building a one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece – an office building with an actual aircraft at its heart. The building is being constructed in AeroCity, an aviation business and entertainment project in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, and located close to Vilnius International Airport. The new building is expected to open its doors to the public by the end of 2021.

The eight floor construction is cube-shaped, with a large atrium in the centre of the building overlooked by offices, making the grand first floor a unique, ‘square under a roof’. It will be a spacious, light, 8-meter high area composed of glass walls and minimalist infrastructure. But, the most unique feature of this architectural project is a real Bombardier CRJ 200 business jet which stands as a breathtaking centrepiece for the entire design. 

A team of professionals have worked for months to make this happen. From extensive planning and calculations, to finding the best solutions and preparing the actual plane for 'landing', the task has been a mammoth undertaking. In May 2021 all this work and meticulous planning payed off when the jet's huge frame was lowered using cranes through an opening in the roof and has now safely 'landed' on the first floor of the new office building.

Paris has the Eiffel Tower, London has Big Ben, and by the end of 2021, Vilnius will have an airplane in an office for everyone to visit and enjoy!

Avion Express Chief Pilot invited the cadets of Avion Express and BAA Training Cadet Programme to practice in an Airbus A320 full-flight simulator.
