Baltic Aviation Academy agrees on pilot assessment program

Baltic Aviation Academy and Avion Express have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the assessment of graduate pilots of Baltic Aviation Academy.

Both parties shared the understanding that pilot-students should have a possibility to have their flying proficiency skills and character suitability to be evaluated by pilot selection personnel of an airline. During the assessment procedure pilots will have a unique opportunity to receive a professional feedback on their strengths and weaknesses as pilots for hire. In addition to that airline will be provided with a great tool to establish a reserve of ready-to-fly professionals.

’Through the cooperation with our partner, Baltic Aviation Academy presents a rare possibility for students to be evaluated by pilot selection professionals. It will help students to identify what improvements should be done in order to succeed as a pilot. Furthermore, it creates a possibility to be noticed by an airline‘, commented Dainius Meilunas, Deputy General Director at Baltic Aviation Academy.

To be evaluated by the airline, pilots will have to pass the selection process of the Baltic Aviation Academy. Students will be assessed not only on their ATPL theory and flying proficiency, but also on their communication skills. The first pilot assessment procedure by Avion Express is expected to be delivered this spring.

In all Avion Express will be operating seven Airbus A320 and two Airbus A319 aircrafts by this summer. Baltic Aviation Academy provides training for pilots and cabin crew for their Airbus fleet.

Up to this date Baltic Aviation Academy has trained more than 15,000 aviation professionals. Company’s clients range from Scandinavia to Western Europe, CIS countries, Middle East, Latin America and India, including such airlines as, Nordwind, Condor, White Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Cubana airlines.
