Aviation training center Baltic Aviation Academy presents the last webinar in year 2012 entitled ‘Line Training: the Concept and Frequently Asked Questions’. The webinar investigates key questions asked by pilots-beginners regarding finding and performing a Line Training session in an actual airline. The footage will be released on the 21st of December at 12:00 UTC/GMT and will be accessible to all registered participants.
In the upcoming webinar, Baltic Aviation Academy will conduct an interview with its ex-type rating student, who is currently flying in an airline under a Line Training program. The goal of the webinar is to receive answers to commonly raised concerns regarding the topic, such as how to get the Line Training program, what capabilities are important in the interview with airline and what are the main challenges faced during the process of entering airline flights. The viewers will be able to post their questions and receive answers in a real time.
‘It is generally acknowledged that the Line Training issue is a thorny subject in aviation. The current situation in the aviation market makes it difficult for inexperienced pilots to start flying in an airline, at least under a Line Training or so-called “trainee” program. Besides the fierce competition for the vacant positions, pilots-beginners are often associated with reduced flight safety and therefore avoided by many airlines as a threat to their reputation. However, there are always two sides of the coin and this webinar is intended to show the brighter side of the young pilots’ abilities‘, commented Virginija Dudenaite, Project Manager at Baltic Aviation Academy.
