BBN Airlines Indonesia, an ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) specialist, provider of charter flights, air freight services, and subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, has become the 32nd airline member of the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (INACA). The announcement comes during INACA's annual general meeting in Jakarta and solidifies the airline's position among the country's domestic airlines.
Founded in 1970, the association comprises members from airlines, MROs, governments, and airports across the Asian market and the world. The organization is officially recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Transport and maintains a close relationship with the government.
"By joining INACA, BBN Airlines Indonesia is reinforcing its growing presence in the region and further validating our dedication to upholding high standards of service and safety," said Martynas Grigas, Chairman at BBN Airlines Indonesia. “Membership will also empower the airline to influence policy, share best practices, and collaborate with industry leaders to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the Indonesian aviation market.”
BBN Airlines Indonesia becomes a member of INACA after a year of growth for the airline. After adding four Boeing 737s to its fleet in February, the airline received foreign operator certificates from both Australia and Singapore before earning a Basic Aviation Risk Standards (BARS) certification from the Flight Safety Foundation in October.
These airline developments are ahead of the growth in the Indonesian air service market. According to aircraft manufacturers like Boeing, the country is the world's third-fastest-growing aviation market and will require 1,300-1,500 additional aircraft in the next 20 years. BBN Airlines Indonesia's participation in INACA is set to bolster its position in this dynamic market and facilitate the further expansion of its services to deliver ACMI capacity to the network.
