FL Technics (Lithuania), leading aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider in Eastern Europe, enhances its productivity and increases the number of employees by ten percent. Thirty new aircraft mechanics have been employed at the beginning of April 2010.
All the mechanics have previously completed basic maintenance training at the company\\`s training centre FL Technics Training. During the 14 months training period every trainee was paid a monthly grant. In the preparation of new specialists FL Technics invested LTL 1 million (~ €290,000).
“We are increasing the amount and speed of FL Technics services, so every trainee was employed after the course completion. We hope the investment will prove and the new mechanics will apply the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge working at our base hangars in Vilnius and later at our Line stations worldwide”, said Jonas Butautis, the CEO of FL Technics.
At the moment FL Technics employs over 300 people. The company owns a training centre FL Technics Training, which is certified as EASA Part-147 training organization and provides basic maintenance training, aircraft type training and other specialized training programmes.
