Ramport Aero, an international aviation holding company engaged in airport construction, development and management business, is delighted to announce the results of a tender for the supplier to install baggage handling systems and equipment in Ramenskoye International Airport. The company has officially confirmed that the tender was won by WeKey Consulting.
Ramenskoye International will welcome its first passengers in the beginning of 2016 and is expected to serve 1.8 million passengers by the end of the year. The maximum capacity of the first Ramenskoye Airport Terminal is projected to be 1 080 passengers per hour. This, in turn, will require the capacity of the baggage handling system to reach 3 600 baggage items per hour.
Once all conditions of the contract are fulfilled, the airport will be equipped with the most modern baggage handling systems which will ensure the fastest uninterrupted service for its international and domestic passengers. Under the terms of the tender, WeeKey Consulting will supply all the necessary inspection equipment, explosives detection systems, baggage handling systems and related technical furniture as well as ensure the timely installation of the supplied equipment and its introduction into service.
All of the equipment will be in full compliance with the requirements of aviation security and airport operations in the Russian Federation, as well as the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It is planned that the baggage handling systems of Ramenskoye International will be ready for operation by mid-fall 2015.
