AirExplore is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Nigeria-based Air Peace to lease four aircraft from November 2024 through March 2025. The four 737-800 aircraft will operate under damp-lease agreement to bolster Air Peace’s capacity. AirExplore provides the aircraft, pilots, maintenance, and insurance, with Air Peace providing the remaining cabin crew for domestic flights within Nigeria.
“We are excited about this new partnership for the winter season,” Martin Stulajter, Chief Executive Officer at AirExplore said. “This collaboration will not only benefit the client's customers but also strengthen our presence in the African aviation market while sustaining revenue during the challenging winter period.”
The agreement was signed during a recent visit to Lagos, Nigeria, where both Stulajter and Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema, came to an agreement on the contract. Both AirExplore and Air Peace have previously worked together, and the visit was to further expand cooperation between the airlines.
“We look forward to working closely with the team at Air Peace as we continue to enable each other's growth and success,” Stulajter said.
Air Peace will base the aircraft in Lagos, Nigeria, where AirExplore’s 737s will complement 12 737-800s and other aircraft types in the airline fleet. The airline is the flag carrier of Nigeria. Serving the most populous country in Africa, Air Peace operates routes across the continent as well as destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
