BAA Training, European standard aviation training centre, has received an approval to provide Embraer E190 Type rating training from the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA). From now on the company can provide Tanzanian airlines with initial and recurrent Embraer E190 Type rating training and full flight simulator dry or wet lease in all BAA partner locations.
This approval supplements the list of BAA Training certificates in Tanzania. The academy also holds a certificate to provide ATR 42/72 Type rating training in the country. Working with BAA Training will enable Tanzanian airlines to receive high quality EASA approved training while saving costly time without potentially compromising flight safety.
According to Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO of BAA Training, today there are only 10 EASA approved Embraer E190 simulators on the market. However, the demand for this type of training is gradually increasing. In fact, it is becoming one of the most desired Type rating training services out there. In 2017 alone, BAA Training clients used almost 4000 hours of dry and wet lease on this particular type of simulator.
“Our extensive list of partners worldwide enables us to offer flexible, customised and quick solutions to our clients in Tanzania and other countries. We are capable of providing Embraer E190 Type rating training for 6-8 crews in different locations simultaneously to save valuable time for airlines,” comments Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO of BAA Training.
According to Boeing Market Outlook 2017, over the next 20 years air traffic in Africa will significantly exceed the worldwide average. In addition to 38 Embraer E190 aircraft already in service, aviation experts forecast an increasing demand arising from the developing airlines that are planning to expand their fleets by adding this particular type of aircraft in the continent.
BAA Training has one of the widest networks of full flight simulators in Europe. The total number of simulators currently available for BAA Training clients is 86. The considerable capacity of simulator training means a high availability of training sessions and an adaptive schedule.
