Jakarta, Indonesia – FL Technics Indonesia, a leading provider of aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services and a subsidiary of the global aerospace group Avia Solutions Group, has officially received certification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Indonesia to perform maintenance services on Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The approval, issued under Indonesia DGCA Part-145 regulations, authorizes FL Technics Indonesia to conduct both line and base maintenance on the 737-8 and 737-9 fleets powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines. This certification applies to the company's two main facilities located at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (DPS), further enhancing its ability to support operators of next-generation aircraft across the region.
"This latest certification represents a significant expansion of our technical portfolio. Securing this authorization for the upkeep of Boeing 737 MAX illustrates our engineering team's ability to support the development of the aircraft, which include advanced airframe systems, avionics, and powerplant technologies. This accomplishment also enables us to serve better operators transitioning to more fuel-efficient fleets and reinforces our position as a reliable MRO partner throughout Southeast Asia," said Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia.
The Boeing 737 MAX series is rapidly becoming a cornerstone in regional airline fleets across the globe thanks to its enhanced fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and extended range. Those are qualities that align with the long-term operational goals of both full-service and low-cost carriers in Asia. As more airlines invest in modernizing their narrow-body fleets, demand for certified MRO services to support the 737 MAX platform is rising steadily.
FL Technics Indonesia's expanded capabilities respond to industry trends and a strategic alignment. This enables the company to address the increasing maintenance requirements of airlines throughout Indonesia and the wider Asia-Pacific area. With certified facilities in two key aviation hubs and a growing team of trained engineers, the company is well-equipped to deliver high-quality, efficient, and compliant maintenance solutions for the 737 MAX family.
In addition to the 737 MAX, FL Technics Indonesia provides comprehensive MRO services for a wide range of aircraft types, including Boeing Classic, Next Generation (NG), and MAX series, as well as Airbus A320ceo and A320neo families. The company is also certified to service engines such as the CFM56-3/5/7, V2500-A, LEAP-1A, 1B, and PW1100G, ensuring a broad capability to support diverse regional fleet requirements.
