FL Technics Engine Services has entered into an agreement with Lufthansa Group’s Group Engine Management GmbH to support its engine maintenance needs. For a relatively young engine shop, the agreement marks an important milestone and recognition of the work invested in building the facility and its operations.
The partnership covers repair and maintenance services for the CFM56 engine family, further strengthening FL Technics Engine Services position as a specialist CFM56 MRO provider. It also gives valuable experience and knowledge that can help further build confidence in its capabilities across the market.
“Lufthansa Group as FL Technics Group sets a high standard in aviation, and being able to work with an organization of this scale gives us a valuable opportunity to learn, exchange experience and further strengthen the way we operate. We are grateful for the trust and look forward to everything we can take from this cooperation to continue developing the shop and its capabilities,” says Valerij Deveikis, CEO of FL Technics Engine Services.
For FL Technics Engine Services, the agreement with Lufthansa brings together many of the elements that have shaped the shop’s development, from building its CFM56-focused operation to having its processes and standards assessed by a major aviation group. It is a meaningful step for the business and a strong foundation for what comes next.
Representatives from Group Engine Management GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG providing engine management services to Lufthansa Group airlines, recently visited the FL Technics Engine Services shop in Kaunas, Lithuania to conduct a customer audit. The audit covered key areas including quality and safety management, technical processes, documentation, personnel competence and control of maintenance activities.
„An audit with a customer like Lufthansa Group gives us an opportunity to look at our organization from the customer‘s perspective. It helps us understand their expectations, confirm the effectiveness of our processes and identify opportunities for improvement,“ says Justinas Mikalainis, Quality Manager at FL Technics Engine Services.
