On 26-27 JUNE the region's largest international MRO conference MRO BEER 2024 brought together close to 1,000 aviation experts and decision-makers from around the world in Vilnius, Lithuania. The main partner of the conference was FL Technics, a global and independent provider of MRO solutions.
MRO BEER (Baltics, Eastern Europe Region) is an annual international conference focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities in the region. The prime industry event is organised by Aviation Week Network, the industry’s largest multimedia information and services provider.
This was the fourth time that the conference was organised Vilnius. The last time the Lithuanian capital hosted it was in 2019.
"Vilnius is not only a fast-growing hub in terms of connectivity, but also an important centre for aviation services, especially aircraft maintenance. We are delighted to be back here and to re-introduce Lithuania to the international aviation community," says Lydia Janow, Senior VP, Aviation Week Network Events.
According to her, when choosing the host city, having reliable partners on the ground is particularly important. FL Technics, a global provider of aircraft maintenance and repair services, whose services are used by commercial aviation clients worldwide such as Wizz Air, Lufthansa, and Saudia, was chosen to organise MRO BEER 2024 in Vilnius.
"We have invited some of the industry's most prominent leaders and experts to the conference. Of course, just as important as knowledge sharing is the event's commercial potential – most attendees are decision-makers looking for partners and suppliers. This makes this conference a great opportunity for businesses in the country and the broader region to showcase the professionalism for which we are renowned around the world," said Žilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics, whose keynote presentation opened the conference.
This year's MRO BEER discussions and presentations touched multiple topics of interest to the aviation business, such as modernisation of the aircraft fleet, rising interest rates, diversity and inclusion, and the use of AI in optimising MRO operations.
According to the organisers, as many as half of attendees were C-level executives, directors and managers. Additionally, 30% of the participants represented airlines, and around a third represented aircraft MRO providers. The conference also featured a B2B exhibition showcasing new technologies, services and products.
FL Technics is a global provider of tailor-made solutions for aircraft maintenance and repair, providing one-stop-shop maintenance to commercial aviation customers across Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company is a part of Avia Solutions Group – the world’s largest ACMI service company group, which operates a fleet of 213 aircraft.
