"Today our hangars in Vilnius are operating at full capacity. Due to increasing demand time slots for base maintenance at our hangars are booked until the end of 2012. We are pleased to have found an experienced and professional partner, which together with FL Technics specialists, will be able to provide our clients with top level maintenance solutions" - said CEO of FL Technics Jonas Butautis.
According to Jonas Butautis, the new agreement will allow FL Technics to quickly increase capacity for base maintenance services.
"Building in-house capacity is not the only solution to meet the growing demand. Working with partners gives us additional flexibility. The highest-value services are performed by FL Technics technicians.
FL Technics also implemented the latest maintenance process management IT solutions, which simplify the cooperation of geographically remote teams. Therefore, without risking the quality of services, we will be able to better adapt to market conditions and satisfy the needs of our clients" - noted J. Butautis.
FL Technics is also considering building a 3rd hangar for aircraft maintenance and is currently in the airport selection process. The new hangar could be built in Vilnius (Lithuania), Chisinau (Moldova), one of Moscow airports or one of the regional airports in Poland.
Currently FL Technics operates two hangars in Vilnius airports, with the ability to simultaneously serve 5 aircraft. One slot is reserved for unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
"UIA is one of the largest airlines in Ukraine. The company operates 18 Boeing 737 aircraft, which are maintained according to the highest global standards" - said Executive Vice President of UIA technical division Alexander Saustenko.
"In 2002 UIA was the first Ukrainian airline to acquire JAR-145 certificate and IOSA certification. The technical base of UIA enables the company to continuously improve the quality of services and ensure flight safety. We welcome the partnership with FL Technics and believe the cooperation will benefit both companies" - noted A. Saustenko.
