FL Technics (FLT), leading aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider in Eastern Europe, expands its portfolio and starts tear down activity.
The company has purchased a Boeing 737-300 air frame from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) which it will part out. The aircraft, most recently operated by Ukrainian International Airlines, was acquired with all components excluding engines.
"FL Technics provides the broad scope of services for the B737 CL. Start of tear down activity will allow us to form and maintain wider stock of B737 CL spare parts and components for our customers in CIS, CEE, and the broader EU region. This is one more step towards FL Technics`s strategic objective of becoming a fully integrated technical support centre", - says Jonas Butautis, CEO of FL Technics.
FL Technics provides comprehensive spare parts management services and distribution system. Spare part capability is enhanced by trusted relationships with major global suppliers.
The aircraft will be disassembled at the FLT`s plant in Vilnius (Lithuania). The company plans to purchase a few more B737 CL for part out in year 2010.
