Avia Solutions Group, a group of business aviation companies, together with its subsidiary FL Technics is further strengthening its position in the global aviation technical support and maintenance market and is set to open its first representative office in Kuala Lumpur by the end of this year.
‘FL Technics aims at becoming a local company operating globally; therefore establishing an office in the Asia Pacific region marks the fulfilment of one of the strategic steps towards encompassing the company’s vision. The current forecasts suggest that the thoroughly planned entrance into the Asian market shall certainly pay off. The regional demand for aviation services is on a stable increase and the company cannot miss out on its own piece of the pie.’, - explained the CEO of Avia Solutions Group Linas Dovydenas.
Aviation experts expect that the Asian region anticipates a 4-8% GDP growth putting it on the top of the fastest growing regions’ list in the aviation market. Boeing predicts that in the next twenty years’ time the region’s demand for aircraft will reach 11.5 thousand units calling forth the need for technical personnel of more than 240 thousand people. The air transport flow alone is expected to grow by an impressive 6-7% every year.
‘From its new office in Kuala Lumpur Avia Solutions Group and FL Technics will jointly cater for the rapidly developing Asia-Pacific region. The new office will operate according to a one stop shop principle and provide the clients with not only line maintenance and engineering services but also work towards satisfying the increasing demand (especially that generated by the 'black listed' airlines) for engine management and landing gear overall, spare parts and components supply, technical personnel training, flight crew training and leasing solutions. ’ – said L.Dovydenas.
According to L.Dovydenas, the new representative office will be led by Mr. Hermann Nagel, who brings extensive experience of local markets in Asia Pacific and the well established network of customers and partners. The initial team will consist of 3-4 people who have years of experience in Asian aviation market.
