KlasJet, a well-known exclusive private and corporate jet charter company and part of the world's largest ACMI providers, the Avia Solutions Group family, is upgrading its fleet to add business class configuration for its ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) operations. These cabin updates will make KlasJet one of the world’s only ACMI providers with twin-class configuration in its aircraft.
“While this cabin configuration is in high demand, and traditionally not provided, we are making these upgrades to cater to interest in Africa and other markets where we see this demand is underserved,” Augustinas Riskus, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer for KlasJet, said. “We hope these upgrades can help airlines, and have already seen interest from national carriers, to grow their operations with ACMI service.”
As part of these upgrades, KlasJet expects to reconfigure its 737-800 to offer 12 business class seats, and a further 162 in economy. As opposed to simple additions of dividers for improvised business class, KlasJet’s new business class will feature twin seating on either side of the aisle, providing additional space and comfort for each passenger.
“We are starting with this one reconfiguration first,” Riskus said. “After this modification, we have plans to adjust other aircraft as customers need so we can provide the extra space and comfort of business class accommodation.”
KlasJet currently operates seven 737 next-generation aircraft in its ACMI fleet that are supported by six 737 specifically configured for luxurious VIP travel. The charter service and ACMI provider is currently placing aircraft across the world ahead of increased market demand. Fleet availability is subject to customer needs, and the company is working to maximize its flexibility for its customers.
