Magma Aviation attended Air Cargo Europe 2025 in Liège, one of the leading events for logistics and air freight professionals. In an interview during the event, Magma’s CEO Peter Kerins discussed Magma’s growth priorities, evolving market strategies, and how the company continues to position itself as a trusted global cargo operator and its commercial priorities in the upcoming years.
Magma is seeing demand shifts in today’s air cargo market. Regions such as Asia and Africa continue to hold their steady position as lucrative markets for Magma. Along these shifts, customers’ expectations continue to adapt to these changes making reliability, speed and quality of service a number one priority.
Magma focuses on continuous fleet expansion and new destinations
Last August 2025, Magma recently introduced a new B747 aircraft into its growing fleet in line with its fleet expansion ambition for the upcoming years.
“Our biggest goal now is to add more aircraft into our fleet ensuring that we get the right price and right lease rates. We have just recently increased our capacity in August, and we intend to increase it again before the end of the year” Peter Kerins, CEO of Magma shared.
Peter highlighted that Magma’s focus is to penetrate new, underserved destinations instead of competing in saturated markets. This strategy helps Magma establish strategic partnerships and more balanced, resilient network, especially in markets that demand reliable service yet currently have limited options.
Building new strategic partnerships at industry’s leading events
Magma Aviation participated in this year’s Air Cargo Europe (ACE) 2025 event in Liège as a Diamond Host Airline Sponsor, joining global industry leaders, partners, and customers during the 3-day event. The event served as an important avenue for Magma’s team to reconnect with long-standing partners, explore new business opportunities, and share insights on the evolving market landscape.
