Aviation training centre Baltic Aviation Academy (Lithuania) expanded its capability list by introducing Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 type rating training courses. Issued by Lithuanian Civil Aviation Administration, an approval certificate to operate Bombardier Dash 8Q -400 family aircraft (Dash 8Q-400) continues BAA program to train pilots on the most popular aircraft types in the market.
Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 ground training courses will be organized at Baltic Aviation Academy facilities in Vilnius. Flight training is going to be organized on Dash 8Q-400 full flight simulator (FFS) in Vienna, Austria. To provide the practical trainings the company has signed cooperation agreements with professional flight training instructors from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Latvia and Lithuania.
Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 type rating training courses are listed at number 38th at company training programs list. The expansion program for 2010-2011 introduced aviation training courses for the most popular types of aircrafts and more than doubled companies training programs offered from 18 programs operated in December 2009.

The Bombardier Dash 8 or Q Series, previously known as the de Havilland Canada Dash 8 or DHC-8, is a series of twin-engine, medium range, propeller airliners. Introduced by de Havilland Canada (DHC) in 1984, Dash 8 is currently produced by Bombardier Aerospace company. With over 1,000 Dash 8 models ordered up-to date, Bombardier forecasts a total production run of 1,192 units of all Dash 8 model variants through to 2016.
Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 aircraft is one of the most technologically advanced turbo propeller airliner. The "Q" designation stands for quiet the name enciphers "The Quiet One", according to Bombardier Aerospace. Focused on improving cruise performance and lowering operational costs, new models of the Q Series aircrafts feature upgraded noise and vibration suppression system.
