An international ground handling services provider Baltic Ground Services (BGS) is further strengthening its positions in Europe. By obtaining the required certificate from the Italian Civil Aviation Administration (ENAC), Baltic Ground Services IT (BGS IT) has gained the right to start providing a full scope of ground handling services in the international Lamezia Terme airport, Italy.
‘The step was consistent with the strategic objectives of our company one of which is to enter an increasing number of European aviation markets. Baltic Ground Services IT take-off in Italy will extend the supply of ground handling services and provide wider choice for local aviation companies,’ commented the CEO of Baltic Ground Services Saulius Batavicius.
Baltic Ground Services IT is planning on launching its activity in the Lamezia Terme airport by the end of this year. Next year the company intends to expand into other airports across Italy.
Baltic Ground Services is fully licensed to provide passenger and aircraft ground handling services in Lithuania (Vilnius and Palanga) and the largest six airports in Poland (Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Katowice). The company has long-standing experience in working with the leading European airlines such as Finnair, LOT, Aer Lingus, Aeroflot, Brussels Airlines, Transaero and WizzAir.
