On 20th of June 2011 Baltic Ground Services PL Sp. z o.o. (BGS) provided its first into-plane fuelling service for Small Planet Airlines (SPA) at Katowice International Airport (KTW).
“BGS further expands its activities in Polish market. Recently, BGS started to provide ground handling services for Air Baltic, Wizz Air and AeroSvit at Warsaw Chopin Airport and into-plane fuelling services at Krakow airport”, - noted Saulius Batavicius, the CEO of Baltic Ground Services.
According to the number of passengers, Katowice International Airport is the third largest airport in Poland. As many as 2.4 million passengers were served and nearly 27 thousand flights were operated at Katowice International Airport in 2010. Regular flights in the airport are performed by largest airlines, such as LOT, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Wizz Air and others.
Baltic Ground Services, provider of ground handling and fuelling services, operates a license for ground handling operations at six major airports in Poland: Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan and Katowice.
