In June 2011, Baltic Ground Services (BGS) signed an agreement with the largest Ukrainian network carrier AeroSvit. From now on BGS will provide AeroSvit with aircraft and passenger ground handling services at Warsaw International Frederic Chopin airport.
“BGS is rapidly expanding the number of clients in Polish market. Both BGS and AeroSvit are very excited about this newly born cooperation. Providing aircraft and passenger ground handling services, we are able to offer the most favourable conditions of the AeroSvit airline’s passengers”, - announced the CEO of BGS Saulius Batavičius.
The first AeroSvit flight to be serviced is scheduled for June 15, 2011. BGS will provide representation, administration and supervision services. Full ground handling services will be provided from July 5, 2011.
AeroSvit operates flights from Warsaw to Kiev destination. As many as 9 million passengers were served in Warsaw airport in 2010. The airline also operates flights from Krakow international airport.
AeroSvit operates more than 60 international routes, connecting Ukraine with capitals, business centers, and world renowned resorts in 29 countries. AeroSvit is a proud owner of an impressive fleet consisting of 13 medium-haul Boeing 737 and 7 long-haul Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Furthermore, AeroSvit has access to its partner carriers’ aircraft (Airbus 320, Airbus 321, Embraer 145, Embraer 195 and Antonov 148).
