FL Technics and AirBaltic signed an agreement for base maintenance services covering all of AirBaltic’s 737 CL fleet. It is not the first time that airBaltic has entrusted FL Technics with the provision of services, furthermore extending the scope of their mutual cooperation to other lines of technical support services.
According to the signed agreement with airBaltic, Latvian national airline, Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 737-500 aircraft base maintenance services will be carried out at the FL Technics base maintenance facility in Vilnius, Lithuania. The agreement covers all of airBaltic’s 737 fleet, with the works on the first aircraft already commenced.
“This renewed relationship and newly signed base maintenance contract is a result of a successful co-operation on a similar C and D- Check program two years ago between airBaltic and FL Technics. It is also an indicator of the level of quality that FL Technics provides to such demanding and well developed customers like airBaltic.”, - said Žilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics.
The newly signed agreement is complemented by a range of supporting products and services, such as wheels and brakes overhaul, technical training, spare parts and components support, and AOG services.
The existing airBaltic’s fleet consists of Boeing 757-200s, Boeing 737-500s, Boeing 737-300s, Fokker-50s and Bombardier Q400 NG types of aircraft, in total – 34 aircraft.
